The U36D series is ideal for inverter applications requiring high ripple current capabilities. With a voltage range through 550 volts, the number of capacitors in series can be reduced. The U36D capacitors offer very large capacitance of up to 2.2F and a maximum operating temperature of +85 ?C. These capacitors are available with a variety of high current English or Metric thread terminals. Mounting options available are a three-footed clamp or bottom stud. (A special order two-footed clamp is also available for selected diameters.)

The following specifications shall be satisfied when the capacitors are restored to +25 ºC after subjecting them to DC voltage for 2,000 hours at +85 ºC with the rated ripple current applied. The sum of the DC voltage and peak AC voltage must not exceed the full rated voltage of the capacitors. The rated voltage shall be applied to the capacitors for a minimum of 30 minutes, at least 24 hours and not more than 48 hours before the measurements.
